Next vehicle…Real Estate Investing

Why Real Estate? Because I have always known through the good and hard times and real estate is a path to wealth and can be a great source of monthly cash flow.

I am also lucky to have gained first hand knowledge of real estate via my parents, who worked hard to acquire and keep their properties. But I know the good, the bad and the ugly and the reason why I was not motivated to get more involved in real estate at a younger age is that my parents encouraged me to go to college and get a good “permanent stable job with good benefits.” They still tell me to do just that…get a good job with benefits. However, my own experience in working 8-5+ with measly time off along with office politics, experiencing a layoff, and going through the ups-and-downs in surviving the worst recession this country has known in decades has taught me that I will never have enough money for retirement let alone enjoy my daily life and having more freedom in one’s life. I am a freedom loving bird, always have been and always will be, but have been influenced by peers and family to follow THEIR wishes and desires.

WHAT ABOUT ME? I no longer allow others, including close friends and relatives, to dictate my life and control my own destiny. I want to control my life, have a peace of mind financial wise, have enough money for retirement (esp for unforeseen medical expenses), and have more free time in my hands to travel, pursue a hobby and LIVE life to the fullest.

Hopefully Real Estate Investing will be the vehicle for me to achieve my financial and personal goals of having control over my own life.
