Online business opportunities for women do exist and there are many women involved in the home based business industry. Since top tier direct sales and/or popular network marketing companies are predominately male, however, it seems at first glance that women do not play a contributing role as either a distributor or a leader. In fact, this is simply not the case.
When I was young, my mother worked a job for 8-10 hours a day alongside my father who worked 12 hours a day seven days a week. As European immigrants, they both worked very hard to make it in this country and wanted to fulfill the American dream of owning a home, sending their children to college, saving enough money for retirement and other investments. That was 30 some years ago. Although the norm of two incomes needed in order to survive was optional, online business opportunities for women were simply non existent. Now things have changed. Recession, frequent job layoffs, disillusionment, job dissatisfaction, steep college tuition prices and climbing each year, and lack of social security for the younger generations raises serious questions about lifestyle, work habits, our financial future and where we are heading. Working from home, leaving corporate America, and spending time with family and friends is no longer an impossibility, but a reality.
Online business opportunities for women that I recommend include affiliate marketing, network marketing (aka residual income programs), or internet marketing or a combination of all three. Internet marketing is mostly a male-dominated world but women can still learn, participate and make money if they so desire. Even so, the smartest way to work online is to brand you inc. before you decide to do anything else. A lead generation system is critical to your success online. There is a possibility to make lots of money in affiliate marketing alone, but most affiliate products are not worth much and most commissions generated by affiliate companies are not so favorable. It is to a woman’s best interest to combine all aspects of affiliate, network and internet marketing to succeed in generating long term growth and residual income for life.
